Ugly Duckling is made from 100% recyclable materials.

In the environmental pillar, one of the actions with the greatest impact is the use of sustainable fabrics. We use fabrics created with 100% recycled yarns from PET bottles.

There are plastics with components that require processes that very few companies perform, such as blue, green and amber bottles. Let’s remember that 1 million bottles are produced every minute and only 9% are recycled.

Ok but… How do we do it?

Uglyduckling helps to give the planet a break. This is the process followed to manufacture recycled textiles.

The reclaimed bottles are collected and crushed.

2. The crushed bottles are ground, melted and reformed into pellets.

3. The pellets are melted and extracted in recrystallized yarn.

4. The fabric is made of yarn, creating environmentally friendly products.

We manufacture standard line sizes, but we can manufacture any swimsuit upon request to make you look amazing with one of our duck designs.

We manufacture in Mexico with an associated factory, where 80% of the employees have some type of physical or cognitive disability. So each swimsuit is made with hands full of experience.
